Job Title: Electrician
Department: Ballpark Operations

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Job Summary:
Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in all buildings within the Great American Ball Park footprint, as well as other Reds properties including the Reds Youth Academy in Roselawn.

Employees are expected to follow all Cincinnati Reds policies and procedures, serve as positive role models, and manage their workload effectively. This includes demonstrating flexibility, prioritizing tasks efficiently, and meeting departmental productivity standards.
 
Minimum Requirements:
Education:  Completion of an Accredited Electrical Training Program.
Experience:  3-5 years of journeyman’s experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems.
Skills: 
  •  Knowledge of electrical installation and repair methods, procedures and equipment, safety practices, troubleshooting and installation methods and procedures.
 
Preferred (Desired) Qualifications:
Education: Associate degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience: 3-5 years of journeyman’s experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems.
Skills: 
  •  Knowledge of thermal imaging of electrical equipment.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Duty | % of Time
Operate electrical testing equipment: 20%
Repair electrical motors and power equipment and purchase supplies and material as needed: 20%
Install and repair lighting circuits and purchase supplies and materials as needed: 20%
Interpret blueprints: 20%
Assist the department in completing organizational goals that may include general maintenance and repair: 20%

Reporting Structure:
This role reports directly to Director of Maintenance.

Physical Requirements:
  • Occasionally required to sit
  • Use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear
  • Light lifting/carrying to assist with event preparation
  • May be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time
  •  Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • Willing to conduct business during non-traditional hours, utilizing games and events (including evenings and weekends) to interact with clients and prospects. Electricians are expected to work games and large events and those will be split between the electricians on staff.
