Job Summary

Responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure for video streaming services and web applications at Xumo. Partners closely with backend, client, video, and data science engineering teams to analyze, test, deploy, and integrate applications and services. Automates operational tasks and documents system configurations and processes. Supports development teams and assists with training non-technical personnel. Has solid experience and practical knowledge of DevOps tools and practices.

  • Position is office based in Irvine, CA (4 days in office & 1 day remote).

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements. Conducts analysis to determine integration needs.
  • Designs and maintains cloud infrastructure environments, supports platforms under development, and enhances current DevOps tooling and pipelines. Assists with automated deployment processes, CI/CD improvements, and release roll-outs while collaborating closely with teammates across engineering and operations.
  • Participates in training representatives and operations staff on internally developed software applications.
  • Researches, writes and edits documentation and technical requirements, including infrastructure designs, IaC modules, runbooks, evaluation plans, monitoring dashboards, test results, technical manuals and formal recommendations and reports.

  • Monitors and evaluates competitive technologies, cloud services, and DevOps products. Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.

  • Provides technical leadership throughout infrastructure and deployment design processes and guidance with regards to practices, procedures and techniques. Serves as a guide and mentor for junior-level DevOps Engineers.
  • Works with Quality Assurance, development teams, and platform teams to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge of and ability to apply, process design and redesign skills. Presents and defends architectural, design and technical choices to internal audiences.
  • Displays knowledge of and ability to apply, project management skills.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Salary:

Primary Location Pay Range: This job can be performed in California with a good faith estimated pay range upon hire of $120,212.52 - $160,283.36 USD.

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within the posted range for this role at the time of posting dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.
