Python / AI Developer - Remote

We are seeking an experienced Python / AI Developer to join a long-term contract engagement supporting a backfill role on an existing team. This is a fully remote contract position with an initial duration of 12 months and the possibility of extension. The role focuses on building, enhancing, and supporting Python-based applications with strong use of AI and machine learning frameworks in a modern, cloud-based environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust Python applications supporting AI and machine learning use cases
  • Implement and integrate AI/ML models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs within microservices-based architectures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
  • Work with relational and NoSQL databases to design, query, and optimize data storage solutions
  • Support cloud-based development and deployment across Azure, AWS, or GCP environments
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing codebases as part of a backfill engagement

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years of hands-on software development experience using Python
  • Strong practical experience with AI and machine learning libraries and frameworks
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and CI/CD practices
  • Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
  • Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams

Bonus Points For

  • Prior experience supporting or modernizing existing production systems
  • Exposure to scalable, cloud-native application design
  • Experience working on long-term enterprise contract engagements
